The Paterson Museum participated in a dessert reception on Thursday, June 6th at the Great Falls Historical Park. Former mayor Lawrence "Pat" Kramer, one of our Trustees, was guest of honor at a street naming celebration at 72 McBride Ave. Extension.

The Golden Spike Ceremony at Promontory Point, Utah, celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019. There were two events at the Paterson Museum to help commemorate this historic event. Our kick-off fundraising event was Friday, May 10, 2019. It included a reenactment of of the Golden Spike Ceremony with our own mayor Andre Sayegh driving the spike under Engine #299 in front of the museum.

Paterson Mayor Sayegh drives the Golden Spike We moved inside to enjoy a meal catered by The Brownstone of Paterson and the unveiling of two artifacts donated to the museum by the foundation. Also in attendance was Mike Del Vecchio, president of the United Railway Historical Society, with his newly acquired painting of Thomas Rogers.

Mike Del Vecchio with his Rogers portrait Passaic County historian Ed Smyk presented an interesting talk on Thomas Rogers and his son Jacob.

There was a Family Day event on Saturday, May 11, 2019. It was a beaufitul day and attendance included information stations from several groups related to railroading history of the general area.
